"iPod Killer?" I think not.

New details emerge on Microsoft Argo/Zune player
Take a look at this lame attempt from Microsoft to attack the iPod market. According to Cnet, 22million American adults have ipods. Our friend Steve Jobs said that last Christmas over 14 million ipods were sold and that as of Quarter 4 of 2005 iPods claimed 83% of the mp3 player market. I don't think that iPods will be disappearing. Many companies have tried to attack the iPods before and failed. Creative in particular tried suing Apple last year claiming that apple stole their idea for organizing music on the mp3 players. (being able to search by artist, album, song, etc.) They lost the lawsuit big time (and tons of $$$$). Then they fought back making an ipod look alike (which did look incredibly like an ipod), but that failed as well. The truth is people just want iPods. They love iTunes, they love iPods, they love the accessories, they love the sleek look, they love the white earbuds, they love the size/storage capacity ratio, they love the firmware/software in the ipod, they love podcasts, they love music, and they love carrying around every song they own complete with album art and the best library organization on the planet, all in a 2 oz package in their pocket.
Microsoft thinks that they will be able to sell this ugly brown piece of junk to people because it works with their xbox. What they don't realize is that it won;t take long for apple to find a way to do the same thing, then people will keep buying ipods, because they can have the best of both worlds. Plus apple cares about its customers and will create products that customers want. For example, One big reason that iPod nanos became popular is because people can take them exercising now and it is 100% skip free and damage free. Apple responded to that desire by teaming up with Nike and launching "Nike+ iPod" (launches tomorrow, July 13th) which makes your nano now capable of talking back and forth with your shoes! We also know that Apple is not intimidated by Microsoft. Earlier this year they launched Mac vs. PC ads, all of which mock Microsofts attempt at an OS. Then, to make matters worse Apple launched the BETA Boot Camp for intel Macs allowing them to run Windows natively on their computer. Microsoft...Get the hints, Apple is a confident company, especially when it comes to their iPod, you cant scare them.
Good Luck with this one Microsoft! You are going to need all the help you can get.
